How to Set Up Custom Rates on Shopify with the Biteship Plugin
If you use Shopify and want to display custom shipping rates through the Biteship plugin, you can configure this feature directly from the Biteship dashboard. This article will guide you step-by-step to activate and configure custom rates to suit your business needs.
What Are Custom Rates in Biteship?
Custom rates are a feature that allows you to set your own shipping rates to be displayed to customers at checkout, replacing the courier's automatic rates.
This feature is very useful if you want to:
- Offer flat (fixed) rates for all shipments
- Add a certain margin on top of the courier's original rates
- Adjust rates based on the shipping location
- Set promotional or discount rates

Before setting up custom rates, make sure the following are fulfilled:
- The Biteship plugin is installed and active on your Shopify.
- You have created and configured a warehouse in the Biteship dashboard.
- You have active delivery services connected to the Shopify plugin.
