Managing Biteship couriers is now simpler through the Couriers page (Courier Marketplace). From one page, you can view all available couriers, install the couriers you want to use, and uninstall couriers you no longer need.
Installed couriers will appear on the Courier Configuration page and in your store integration settings, such as Shopify and WooCommerce. There, you can select which services from those couriers you want to activate.
By managing couriers properly, the shipping options that appear when creating an order will be more relevant to your business needs.

1. What Is the Courier Integration Page in Biteship?
The Couriers page is a catalogue of all couriers you can use in Biteship, including regular, instant, cargo, and international couriers. Courier management in Biteship consists of two stages:
| Stage | Location | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Install a courier | Integrations > Couriers | Adds a courier to your account. |
| Activate services | Shipping > Configuration (the Courier Configuration page), or the Shopify/WooCommerce integration page | Selects the services from installed couriers that will appear as shipping options. |
Only installed couriers can have their services configured. If a courier has not been installed, it will not appear on the Courier Configuration page or in your store integration settings.
2. How to Install a Courier in Biteship
-
Log in to the Biteship Dashboard, then select Integrations > Couriers from the sidebar. Find the courier you want using the Search couriers field, or filter the list by category: All, Regular, Instant, Cargo, or International.
- Check the courier information in the list, including the Status, Type, and number of Services.
-
Click the Install button in the row of the selected courier.
- After the installation is successful, the courier status changes to Installed, and the number of installed couriers in the top-right corner of the list will increase.
You can also open this page through the Add courier button available on the Courier Configuration page and in the Shopify and WooCommerce integration settings.
3. How to View Courier Details and Terms
Before installing a courier, you can review its details first.
-
On the Integrations > Couriers page, click the row of the courier you want to view (not its button).
-
The detail panel will open on the right side of the screen.
The detail panel displays an About section containing a description of the courier, as well as Terms & Conditions, which may include the following information, depending on the courier:
- Insurance: insurance availability and maximum coverage.
- Pickup Schedule: the courier's package pickup schedule.
- Available Services: a list of services offered by the courier.
- Failed Pickup Policy: provisions if the pickup fails.
- Additional Notes: other information you need to know.
- Prohibited Items: types of items that cannot be shipped.
You can install or uninstall the courier directly using the Install or Uninstall button at the bottom of the panel.
4. How to Activate Services for an Installed Courier
After installing a courier, make sure the services you want to offer are active so they appear as options when checking shipping rates and creating orders.
-
Open Shipping > Configuration from the sidebar. The Courier Configuration page will open.
- Installed couriers are grouped by shipping type: Instant Shipment, Regular Shipment, Regular Cargo Shipment, and International Shipment. Next to the courier name, you can see the number of active services, for example, 2/5 active.
-
Click the courier name to display its list of services.
- Activate or deactivate each service using the toggle button on the right. Changes are saved automatically.
To view the courier's terms from this page, click the View Terms button next to the courier name.
Service settings on the Courier Configuration page apply to orders created through the Dashboard. For Shopify or WooCommerce stores, configure courier services in the Manage Courier Services section on each integration page. For the complete guide, see the article about integrating Shopify and WooCommerce with Biteship.
5. How to Uninstall a Courier
- Open Integrations > Couriers.
- Hover over the Installed button for the courier you want to uninstall. The button will change to Uninstall, then click the button.
-
A confirmation window titled Uninstall this courier? will appear. Click Yes, uninstall to continue, or Cancel to cancel.
Important: Uninstalling a courier will remove it from the Courier Configuration page and all connected integrations. All activations for that courier's services will also be removed. If you install the courier again, you will need to reactivate its services.
6. Understanding Courier Statuses and Limits
Courier statuses
- Installed - Terpasang: The courier has been added to your account, and its services can be configured in Courier Configuration or the integration settings.
- Available - Tersedia: The courier can be installed but has not yet been added to your account.
Courier limit according to your plan
The number of couriers you can install follows your Biteship subscription plan. If your plan has a limit, the counter on the Couriers page will display a format such as 3 of 3 couriers installed.
When the limit is reached, the Install button cannot be clicked, and information will appear stating that you have reached your plan's courier limit. To install another courier, you can uninstall an unused courier or click Upgrade plan to upgrade your subscription.
International couriers
Couriers in the International category can only be installed if your account has the International Shipping add-on or is subscribed to the Scale plan.
7. Tips for Managing Biteship Couriers
- Read the terms before installing: Check the pickup schedule and list of prohibited items to make sure they are suitable for the products you sell.
- Choose couriers according to your needs: Combine regular couriers for intercity shipping and instant couriers for same-day delivery.
- Check services after installation: Open the Courier Configuration page to make sure the services you want are active.
- Be careful when uninstalling a courier: Service activations across all channels will be removed, including in your Shopify and WooCommerce stores.
