IMPORTANT:
- Requirements for using the Biteship app or third-party shipping rate are to subscribe to one of the following plans:
- Shopify Annual Plan (Requires confirmation with Shopify Customer Support before purchase and plan activation)
- Monthly Advanced Plan
- Annual Advanced Plan
- This article will help you to Install the Biteship app on Shopify
Basic Setup
- Open the Biteship app in your Shopify store, grant permission, and install
- After being redirected, Biteship requires users to log in. You can log in with your email or create a new account.
- Fill out the registration form
First Name: your first name
Last Name: your last name
Email: your email
Password: your password (must contain at least 1 numeric character, e.g., abc1)
- A successful registration message will appear, click “Login” to return to the Login page, where you can log in with your registered credentials
- After logging in, a Shopify integration success notification will appear
- Go to the “Settings” page and add your phone number in the “Phone Number” field
- Activate courier services in Biteship by going to the “Integration” menu in the sidebar and clicking "Settings".
- Subscribe to Biteship services to start activating Shopify. Click the "Subscribe" button to begin.
- Choose a subscription service according to your needs. Biteship currently offers 4 service types:
Monthly
1. Essentials - Rp99,000 per month
2. Premium - Rp249,000 per month
Annual
1. Essentials - Rp990,000 per year
2. Premium - Rp2,490,000 per year
- You will be directed to the Payment link. Continue by clicking the "Make Payment" button
- You will be redirected to the Xendit page to make the payment. You can pay using various payment methods including Credit Card, Bank Transfer, e-Wallet, and QRIS.
- After payment, your Shopify Biteship is active. How to check:
1. Check the expiration date
2. Check that the subscription service is installed
- Click the "Activate" button to activate your Biteship Shopify.
- After clicking the "Activate" button, the Biteship service is active on your Shopify with the following checks:
1. Store name appears
2. "Plugin Active" information appears
- Then, activate the available courier services and you can select insurance if needed (Important! Only configure courier services from the Biteship integration page)
- Return to the Shopify admin dashboard and open Shopify SETTINGS:
- Go to Payments
- Go to Payment Providers and select a provider
- Enable payment service: use Fake Gateway for testing
- Go to Shopify SETTINGS:
- Open Checkout and accounts. MAKE SURE "Shipping Address Phone Number" is set to "Required"

- Go to Shopify SETTINGS:
- Enter your company phone number under Settings - Location, this is required for order import in Biteship because the import process needs location details in Indonesia

- Go to Shopify SETTINGS:
- Click "Carrier and App Rates" to add courier providers
- Click "Manage on General Shipping" and you can click "Carrier and App Rates"
- You will see "Biteship Multi-Carrier Rate (Rates provided by app)"
- Finally, check if the Biteship app is running.
- Open the product page to create an order, on the checkout page make sure to enter the following information so the plugin only works for Indonesia
- After filling out the checkout, you will see the list of courier providers appear and make sure to select AnterAja - Regular for test orders
- Continue with fake payment and place the order. Make sure the order is successful as follows:
