In Biteship delivery services, each courier has a processing deadline known as the cut-off service order. This article explains what the cut-off service means, what happens if an order passes this deadline, and how users can avoid delivery issues.
What Is a Cut-Off Service Order?
Cut-off service order is the last daily time when orders can still be processed and picked up by the courier on the same day.
- Each courier service has different cut-off schedules.
- The cut-off is determined based on the courier’s operational hours and service area.
- If an order is placed before the cut-off time, the courier will try to pick up the item on the same day.
What Happens If You Pass the Cut-Off?
If an order is placed after the cut-off time, then:
- Pickup will be scheduled for the next working day.
- The estimated delivery time will also be calculated starting from the next day.
- The order remains valid but will not be processed on the same day.
Example:
- The cut-off time for JNE courier in a certain area is 2:00 PM WIB.
- If you place an order at 3:00 PM WIB, the pickup will be done the following day.
Tips to Avoid Delivery Delays
To ensure your order is processed and picked up on time:
- Check the courier’s cut-off time through Biteship documentation or API before placing an order.
- Process orders earlier than the cut-off time, especially on working days.
- Use automation features if you have a high volume of orders, to make processing more efficient.
