Buying Biteship add-ons is simple: you can add quotas or unlock additional features directly from the Billing menu without having to change your subscription plan. Add-ons are useful when your business needs exceed the limits of your current plan, such as when you need additional origin locations (warehouses), new team members, or features such as Shopify and WooCommerce plugin integrations.
Add-ons are purchased per billing period. You only pay for the quotas or features you actually need, keeping costs under control while your shipping operations continue running.

1. What Are Biteship Package Add-Ons?
Add-ons are additional quotas or features that you can purchase outside your currently active subscription plan. Add-ons are divided into two types:
- Quota Add-Ons: increase your account usage limits, including Origin locations (the number of origin locations or shipping warehouses), Manager members (team members with the manager role), and Operations members (team members with the operations role).
- Feature Add-Ons: unlock features that are not included in your plan, such as Shopify and WooCommerce plugins, Instant Courier Capability for Plugins, and International Shipping.
The list of add-ons and their prices is displayed directly in the dashboard and may vary depending on your plan. Features already included in your plan, or that you have already purchased during the current period, will no longer appear on the list.

3. Understanding Add-On Costs and Validity Periods
- One-time payment: the add-on is valid until your current plan period ends and is not automatically renewed. If your plan lasts more than one month, the quota add-on is charged according to the number of months in that period, indicated by the Charged for N months label.
- Recurring: the add-on will renew together with the plan in each billing cycle.
- Feature prorating: the feature add-on price may be prorated according to the number of days remaining in the current period, indicated by the Rp... for the remaining period label.
- Bill waived: with automatic renewal, if the prorated amount due now is below the minimum threshold, the bill is waived and the full price will apply starting with the next bill.
4. Understanding Add-On Purchase Statuses
- pending - Pending: the purchase has been created, but payment has not been completed. A You have a pending add-on payment. notification will appear on the Billing > Overview page. Click Pay to continue the payment.
- paid - Successful: payment has been received and the add-on is active on your account.
- failed - Failed: payment was unsuccessful. Please repeat the purchase from the add-on catalog.
5. Tips for a Smooth Add-On Purchase
- Check usage first: review the Used number for each quota add-on to ensure that the quantity purchased meets your needs.
- Combine purchases: you can select multiple add-ons at once and pay for them in a single checkout.
- Consider upgrading your plan: if you need many add-ons each month, a higher-tier plan may be more cost-effective. Compare plans through the Plans menu in the same window.
- Renew your plan before it expires: add-ons cannot be purchased during the grace period, so make sure your plan is still active.
