Summary
Biteship allows you to automatically import orders from your Shopify store. To ensure that only relevant orders are imported into Biteship, you can select which Shopify order status types to import through the Set Order Import Configuration feature.
3 Types of Shopify Order Statuses That Can Be Imported
When setting up the Shopify integration in Biteship, there are 3 order status filter options you can enable:
1. Only Paid and Unfulfilled Orders
Orders that have been paid by customers but are not yet processed or shipped.
Suitable for: Stores that want to process new fully paid orders immediately that have not been handled at all.
2. Only Paid and Fulfilled Orders Without Tracking Number
Orders that have been paid and marked as fulfilled in Shopify, but do not yet have any shipping tracking number.
Suitable for: Stores that mark orders as fulfilled earlier in Shopify but have not yet entered the shipping tracking number โ so Biteship can help create the label and tracking number.
3. Only Paid and Fulfilled Orders With Tracking Number
Orders that have been paid, fulfilled, and already have a shipping tracking number recorded in Shopify.
โ ๏ธ Important: This filter includes orders with tracking numbers not created through Biteship โ for example, tracking numbers manually entered in Shopify or from other platforms/couriers. Use this filter if you want to import those orders into Biteship for data synchronization or centralized shipment monitoring purposes.
Suitable for: Stores that previously used other couriers or platforms and want to move their shipment management to Biteship without losing ongoing order data.
โน๏ธ Note: You can enable more than one filter at the same time according to your storeโs operational needs.
How to Set Up Order Import Configuration
- Log in to the Biteship dashboard.
- On the left menu, select Integrations.
- Select the connected Shopify integration.
- In the Configuration tab, find the Set Order Import Configuration section, then click the Set button.
- A pop-up titled "Set Order Import Configuration" will appear with 3 order status options.
- Check (โ) the order statuses you want to import into Biteship.
- Click Apply to save the settings.
- Click Close if you want to cancel without saving changes.
Tips
- If you are unsure which option is right, activate "Only Paid and Unfulfilled Orders" first โ this is the most commonly used configuration.
- You can change this configuration anytime without affecting orders already imported.
- Make sure the Shopify integration is successfully connected before setting this configuration.
